On June 29th, a 40-year chapter of the German Air Force comes to an end: Fighter Wing 71, Germany's last remaining Phantom unit, will convert to the Eurofighter. For these celebrations, this F-4 has been painted in a special blue and gold metallic design, with the "Hartmann Tulip" around its nose and a "germanized" version of the Phantom mascot on the stabilizer.
